Is it worth trillions of dollars to try to moderate climate?

Canada NewsWire

OTTAWA, ON, April 2, 2026 /CNW/ - International Climate Science Coalition - Canada alerts Canadians that one can learn the facts to answer this question by watching the 16th International Conference on Climate Change (ICCC16) in Washington, DC, live streamed from The Heartland Institute's website on April 8th and 9th 2026.

Tune in for presentations by Lee Zeldin, Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, Dr. John Clauser, the 2022 Nobel Prize winner in Physics, and US Department of Energy Climate Working Group members Dr. Judith Curry and Canadian economist and climate statistician, Dr. Ross McKitrick. The three authors of this news release will also be attending ICCC16 and Tom Harris will present data analyses that question our government's claim that Canada is warming at twice the global average rate and that this is primarily caused by greenhouse gas emissions.

Given that the main proponents of net‑zero by 2050 for Canada are the custodians of our savings and investable wealth—banks, pension funds, insurance companies, and their army of consultants—the public have the right to ask what our nation's expenditure of over $200 billion since 2015 has accomplished and why net-zero by 2050 is a good investment for Canadian families.

Government funded mainstream media will not ask this question and continue to censor climate realist science and policy, giving our leaders a free hand to waste hundreds of billions more, a recent example being $500,000,000 announced on March 8th for the Canadian Climate Resilience Accelerator for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Meanwhile science and policy realism is winning in the USA and the BRICS countries who have no intention of throttling their economies in pursuit of nonsensical climate goals.

Even though at least USD$16 trillion has been spent globally trying to moderate climate, the predictions of human induced climate catastrophe have never been scientifically demonstrated. So, now is the time for an unbiased public debate about climate change, organized by the custodians of our national wealth.

ICCC16 will offer Canadians who actually care about the future of our country to learn what they need to know to fight back against the boondoggle of Canadian climate change funding.
