Foot-health brands have generated over C$15 million in combined lifetime sales and served more than 200,000 customers
VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 14, 2026 /CNW/ -- Meryl and Mick Baker, founders of Spacer Mobility and NUNORM, accepted a C$400,000 on-air offer from Michele Romanow on CBC's Dragons' Den on October 8.

The offer includes 20 percent equity and a 10 percent royalty until the investment is repaid. The proposed transaction is subject to due diligence.
The husband-and-wife founders, based in West Vancouver, have built a foot-health ecosystem spanning mobility and recovery tools, education and minimalist footwear. Together, the brands have generated over C$15 million in lifetime sales and served more than 200,000 customers worldwide.
"We've spent the past eight years encouraging people to think differently about their feet and the role they play in movement, balance and overall well-being," said Meryl Baker. "Having the opportunity to share that vision on a national stage was an incredible milestone for our family and our team."
Spacer Mobility began in 2018 after Meryl's experience with chronic knee pain led the founders to explore the connection between foot function and whole-body movement. Its range now includes toe spacers, balance tools and recovery accessories used by consumers, health and fitness professionals and professional athletes.
The founders later launched NUNORM, creating minimalist shoes with a wide toe box, zero-drop construction and flexible soles.
"We didn't set out to build two unrelated brands," said Mick Baker. "Together, they represent the larger vision we brought into the Den."
The founders are focused on expanding retail and wholesale distribution across North America, developing new products and making foot-health education more accessible.
Watch on CBC Gem: Dragons' Den, Season 21, Episode 4.
